Quick Strawberry Jam

It will be very hard to go back to store-bought jam once you make this!

Quick Strawberry Jam

16 oz or 2 cups Strawberries-cleaned, hulled and sliced

¾ cup sugar 2 Tbsp lemon juice (fresh or bottled)

1 pint jar and lid or 2 smaller jars

1. Place all ingredients into a saucepan. Stir on medium heat until sugar is dissolved.

2. Mash the berries with potato masher or fork until desired size.

3. Continue to heat, stirring until it simmers- set timer and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Remove from heat and pour jam into jar(s) and cool at room temperature.

5. Place lid(s) on tight and place in refrigerator for a couple of days to thicken or place in freezer.

Jam will thicken as it cools. Use opened jam within 1-2 weeks or store unopened in frig for up to a month or up to 3 months in freezer.
