For 60 years, the Older Americans Act (OAA) has been a lifeline for older adults and caregivers—helping them live with health, dignity, and independence right in their communities. But with our aging population rapidly growing (by 2030, 1 in 5 Americans will be 65+), we’re at a critical juncture.
Congress is finalizing the FY 2026 budget, and funding for OAA services is on the line. We need your voice to ensure continued support for:
- Home-delivered & congregate meals that combat hunger and isolation
- Health promotion, fall prevention & in-home care services
- Transportation & elder abuse prevention initiatives
- Family caregiver supports – including training, respite, & navigation aid
These services aren’t extras—they’re essentials that support seniors in Iowa and nationwide.
