Connections Area Agency on Aging Launches Pizza, Puzzles & Pints Fundraising Event to Support Older Iowans

Creston, IA  — Friday, May 9th, 2025

Connections Area Agency on Aging is thrilled to announce its newest community fundraising event, Pizza, Puzzles & Pints, combining friendly competition, delicious food, and a great cause—all in one fun-filled evening!

The event will be held on Friday, May 9th at A & G Restaurant & Lounge in Creston, and will bring together teams of four to race against the clock in a jigsaw puzzle challenge, while enjoying local pizza and a selection of beverages. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest teams, with bragging rights included!

Funds raised through Pizza, Puzzles & Pints will go directly toward reducing waitlists for essential services like home-delivered meals, caregiver support, and service coordination—helping older adults across our region live with dignity, safety, and independence.

“We’re excited to bring something new to our community that’s not only a great time, but also supports a meaningful mission,” said Community Engagement Regional Coordinator, Nikki Corderman of Connections Area Agency on Aging. “It’s a perfect way for friends, families, and coworkers to come together for some fun while giving back to the older Iowans who have given so much to our communities.”
