Virtual Tues Afternoon Group: Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Connections is excited to offer a virtual Powerful Tools for Caregivers. This is an evidence-based program that provides support to family caregivers. Join this group that will meet from 1:30-3:00 on Tuesday afternoons for 6 weeks beginning on July 5th and ending on August 9th. Limit 8 people. No additional people will be added after the first session.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers gives you the skills to take care of yourself while caring for someone else. By taking care of your own health and well-being, you become a better caregiver. Six sessions held once a week are led by experienced class leaders. Class participants are given The Caregiver Helpbook to accompany the sessions and provide additional caregiver resources.

Creston -Consumer Protection Workshop: How to Avoid Scams

Connections is pleased to partner with the Iowa Attorney General's office to bring awareness seminars to our region. Investigator Al Perales of the Consumer Protection Division with the Iowa Attorney General’s Office will assist Iowans with consumer protection issues, including providing information on how to spot and protect themselves from fraud. The Consumer Protection Division can answer consumer questions regarding identifying price gouging, hiring contractors, avoiding scams, and other issues, and can take consumer complaints.

On-line Caregiver Support Group

On-line Support Group. Zoom link is sent to registered attendees.

Join us for an on-line support group, especially designed for caregivers.
Join us via phone, computer or even a Grandpad by Zoom.
Please contact Jan for more info for the link to join.
This group meets every fourth Monday of the month from 6:00-7:00. .
Another group meets on the second Wednesday of the month from 2:00-3:00 pm.
Attend either or both meetings each month.
