It's Back Again! Connections Area Agency on Aging staff and volunteers, along with Document Depot will be at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations, working to protect our older Americans! Bring your confidential papers to be shredded. This event will not have a drug take back.

Personal papers with confidential information accepted. No need to remove paper clips or staples. No cardboard, plastic, or heavy metal binders. Papers from businesses not accepted (i.e.home-based or office businesses).

Donation event, thanks to Document Depot and Siouxland Center for Active Generations. Donations benefit Senior Independence Programs through Connections Area Agency on Aging

OATS-Clarinda- Online Shopping

Join us at the Lied Center Library to learn more about Online Shopping. This course is offered through the Older Adults Technology Services program by Connections Area Agency on Aging. Online shopping lets you buy products on the internet from your computer and have them shipped to your home or anywhere! Online stores often have larger inventories and lower prices, so you can quickly find the best deal. This lecture will provide a general introduction to shopping online using the popular website Amazon.com. You’ll learn how to search for products, make comparisons, and add items to an online shopping cart.

Dementia Friends-In person Clarinda

Join us for this live and in person Dementia Friends session at the Clarinda Lied Public Library
The session is a discussion where you will learn what dementia is, what it’s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia. Everyone who attends is asked to turn their new understanding of dementia into a practical action that can help someone living in your community. The action can be as big or as small as you choose—every action counts!
