Welcome to Medicare - Council Bluffs

onnections Area Agency on Aging’s Council Bluffs office hosts a Welcome to Medicare seminar. This unbiased, informative seminar for new Medicare beneficiaries is held every 3 months. The seminars are from 6:00-7:30 at The Council Bluffs Public Library at 400 Willow Street. Pre-registration is required (recommended at least one week prior to presentation. There is no cost to attend.

Assisting new beneficiaries to increase their understanding of Medicare is an effort of SHIIP program (Senior Health Insurance Information Program), sponsored by Connections Area Agency on Aging. Discussion topics will include who is eligible for benefits and timeframes for applying, understanding Medicare’s benefits and options, supplements, Medicare Advantage plans, prescription drug plans and protecting their Medicare benefits. There will be ample time for questions.
