6:00 – 6:30 Meet and Greet

6:30 – 7:30 Panel Question/Answer : Panel : Tom Johnson – Iowa Western Community College
Jane Bell – Ameristar Casino
Tom Schmitt – Daily Nonpareil
• Moderator will open the forum with a brief welcome and explanation of the evening
• Panelist will begin asking a questions on a rotation ask/answer format.
• Candidates will have maximum two minutes to respond
• No rebuttals will be granted
• Candidates will not receive the questions prior to the discussion however the answers will follow the topic outline below:
o Candidates Vision for Council Bluffs and the Region
o Economic Development
o City Management and Administration
• The Daily Nonpareil will also be submitting questions to you for publication in the days leading up to the election. They will be asking the mayor candidates 10 questions (printing two per day over a five day period) and the council candidates five questions (printing one per day over a five day period.)
• The questions asked in the forum will not be the same ones asked by the Nonpareil. We encourage you, of course, to answer the Nonpareil questions giving the public ample information to make an informed choice.
