In the state of Iowa, 330 million hours are devoted annually to the ever increasing senior population that is being cared for in their home by an informal family caregiver. The majority of these informal family caregivers are part of the Baby Boom generation, and are in search of services, resources, and information that will help them take care of their loved one. The Boomer’s Roadmap: A Taste Sensation from Across the Nation: “Lettuce” Be Your Compass is taking place on Thursday, November 1st from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Council Bluffs Senior Center at 714 South Main. This is a free event where informal family caregivers can be exposed to what is available to them in their local area.
Our theme, a Taste Sensation from Across the Nation: Lettuce Be Your Compass is an opportunity for attendees to try finger foods from all over the country!
