We want to start by saying thank you to those who assisted in the Secret Santa program either by nominating a senior, assisting in organizing the donations received or mailing them, sharing the program details with others, being a donor or delivering a holiday meal. Your support to bring Holiday Cheer to seniors this year was very much appreciated.
We were able to serve 81 seniors this year and offer a holiday meal this year for the first time. The response we have received from some seniors has been great. Many were surprised as they did not know they were being adopted so it was a true “Secret Santa.”
We had one recipient call this week, crying as she was so thankful for the gift card and being thought of this holiday season. She was beyond thankful. It is calls like this that makes what you do everyday for such a special population so important.
This was the 3rd Annual program and we look forward to seeing the impact for next year.
