Housing Director

Housing Director needed monitor and maintain four HUD subsidized (senior-designated) apartment complexes sponsored and/or managed by Connections AAA.

Responsibilities include working with housing staff while overseeing the following activities: move-ins, re-certifications, tenant issues, HUD and Fair Housing issues, inspections, monitoring of all project expenses, annual budgets, rent increases, board reports, etc.
 

Education/Experience - four year degree in Business Administration or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education & experience. Property Management experience preferred, familiarity with HUD a plus.
 

Requirements - receive Certified Occupancy Specialist certification within 1 year of accepting position. Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license and auto insurance. Must successfully pass Criminal and Dependent Adult Abuse background checks before hire. Accounting knowledge and familiarity with budgets and financial reports is helpful.

 

Position is located within the Sioux City Office.

Independent Maintenance Contractor

Connections Area Agency on Aging manages three senior-designated HUD subsidized apartment complexes located in Sioux City, IA.

Independent Maintenance Contractor must have basic carpentry knowledge. Certification of liability insurance required annually and completion of W-9.

Responsibilities include responding to emergency calls, preventative maintenance, identifying maintenance problems and finding solutions, ground maintenance, plumbing issues, etc. Have good communication skills to report issues to management and staff. Good relations with tenants, HVAC experience beneficial but not required.

Care Transitions Coach

Care Transitions Coaches ensure the safe and effective transfers in the movement of patients across the care continuum, serving as the bridge between professional staff in the hospital and nursing home setting and the patient and/or family. Acts as a patient educator-advocate empowerment facilitator. Provides information and guidance to the patient and/or family for an effective care transition, improved self-management skills, and enhanced patient-doctor communication.

Requirements:

Currently licensed nurse or degree in social work,

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, auto insurance and must be able to travel in and outside of service area.

Must be able to pass criminal background and dependent adult Abuse background checks before hire.

This position will be based out of the Sioux City office.
