 g document-shredding event\, Shredtastic\, will return to Sioux City on Fr
 iday\, May 1\, 2026\, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event will be held 
 at the Siouxland Center for Active Generations\, located at 313 Cook Stree
 t.\n\nThe event is focused on helping seniors safely dispose of sensitive 
 documents and reduce the risk of identity theft. Document Depot and Destru
 ction will provide the on-site shredding service.\n\nOver the past several
  years\, more than two tons of personal papers have been shredded during e
 ach two-hour event. Shredtastic is a drive-through event\, with parking av
 ailable for those who wish to observe. The service is offered on a donatio
 n basis\, with proceeds benefiting senior services provided by Connections
  Area Agency on Aging and the Siouxland Center for Active Generations.\n\n
 “Preventing identity theft is an important issue for older adults\,” said 
 Pam Wurster\, event organizer with Connections Area Agency on Aging. “Numb
 ers assigned through Medicare and Social Security\, as well as bank accoun
 t and credit card information\, are valuable and sellable commodities to s
 cammers. We are excited to continue offering this service to seniors in th
 e Siouxland area\, as we have for more than a decade.\n\nSeniors and careg
 ivers are encouraged to bring personal paperwork such as:\n\n· Medicare Su
 mmary Notices\n\n· Insurance explanations of benefits\n\n· Bank statements
 \n\n· Credit card bills\n\n· Applications and documents containing persona
 l information\n\nStaples and paper clips do not need to be removed and can
