Dementia Friends Virtual Lunch and Learn

To mark Dementia Awareness Day, Jan Schnack Family Caregiver Community Engagement Specialist at Connections Area Agency on Aging will host a one-hour Dementia Friends virtual Lunch and Learn session.

August 24th 2021 11:30 AM-12:30pm Central Time via zoom.

The session is a discussion where you will learn what dementia is, what it’s like to live with the disease, and some tips for communicating with people who have dementia.  Everyone who attends is asked to turn their new understanding of dementia into a practical action that can help someone living in your community. The action can be as big or as small as you choose—every action counts!

If you are interested in attending the session you can sign up on Connections website at: tinyurl.com/CAAADementiaFriends   or call Jan Schnack at 1-800-432-9209 ext. 8116.

Connections Area Agency on Aging Family Caregiver Program supports people who care for their parents, spouses, or others aged 60+ by providing information, resources and support.
